creativity can definitely LEAD to literacy, if the person is given the correct tools from the start.
this could be especially helpful in special folks who have issues with traditional tools (pencils, speaking, etc.) -- I saw "My left foot" (story of Christy Brown) and this exemplifies the topic in a GREAT way.
Kids are ballsy and will take leaps (sometimes get burned) because they have less fear than the older crowd who's been burned or lost out, thereby (often) making them less willing to take risks.
I like the sticker on cars: "NO FEAR" -- a wise person created that and the sentiment should spread....not just for extreme sports, but for education in all aspects.
