1st team meeting...VPN style

After some minor set backs and a bit of help from Christian Borja, we were able to meet on the Cisco VPN.  It was a good experience but we missed Jill (she was not able to attend but sent her extensive thoughts via email prior to our meeting).
This meeting was far more productive than I had imagined.
Jill and Sean both said 'about the same thing' >> If we were to do something using "THE TOOLS of AR & MALT" that links the  growing Challenge Success movement, it will help grow the prestige of ourselves, our program..."
Sean pressed for "killing two birds with one stone" by creating a DVD *using* the methods of AR to TEACH a new method of learning (essentially, an interactive DVD for administration in academic fields and management in other fields) - this way, we change the way information is passed on, change methods of passing on that information from colleague to colleague, and also use our methods of AR.
We're trying to NOT focus *too* much in on K-12, as both Carmel and I don't work within that realm.  It would be terrific to be able to reach (practically?) any business and the way teaching/training takes place.
Things we discussed about the interactive DVD:
--making sure it is applicable to many fields and business types
--making sure it includes the very core of AR and in doing so, we become better at AR ourselves -- practicing what we are learning (of course, much reading needs to be accomplished before we know exactly what all should be included in the DVD regarding AR)
--live links to help the user of the DVD...to personalize the experience...and all credit will be given at some place for the links used (correct citations, etc.)
--it could be a series of DVDs...possibly...in theory, at least - maybe just one, but just a suggestion for the future --- and if this is to be a 'marketable product,' we would like the copyright(s), after all, our ideas COULD be worth money some day ;-)
--stuff to be included in the DVD, regarding AR: theories, methods, definitions, history of, data on, trials & errors accomplished, etc....
So, that's it in a nutshell.  Each of us who was online tonight is submitting a paragraph about the session via email, to me - I'll put them together & present it in an email to Paul for feedback.  Jill might send an email as well -- or I will use the parts of her original email that were applicable to our online discussion.  She had already added a LOT to our first session!!
We also decided that blogging about each online session was a good way to keep track of our progress -- for use on our "team website" (Glen is Webmaster but we will all be collaborating & adding to the site).
This will be a huge challenge but we all seem laid back about it...and ready for the HARD FUN!
